
Wuzhizhou Island is called "China's Maldives", one of Hainan's most beautiful offshore islands. The island is irregularly butterfly-shaped, 1400m long east-west and 1100m north-south, covering 1.48 sq km. The water is crystal clear with visibility up to 27 meters, making it one of China's best diving sites. The island has rich tropical vegetation with over 2,700 plant species. The underwater world is spectacular with well-preserved coral reefs.
